Encouragements from the Blog

Thank you to all who have contacted me to voice your encouraging messages via text, email, messenger, facebook or in person. The purpose of the blog is to send out encouragement through scripture and to provide a non-zoom way to study God's word together. I, unexpectedly, get encouragement back from those who read along. Thank you! Thank you! You encourage me to keep going.

Please pray for me and for all of us who read this blog. We are fishers of men. Scripture is our bait. May the catch for all of us be plentiful. Amen.

The notes to the right were sent in by a grateful reader. Blessings to you! Thank you for sharing! I will keep you in my prayers and I encourage others to pray for this reader, as well.

Photo below shows how God works all things together for good. With permission, I share the story of how I met Yolanda Gonzales, below. Yolanda became a

patient in the office where I work. She revealed that she was about to begin chemotherapy for stage 4 cancer treatments. We stayed in contact and I invited her to join the blog. At a recent lunch we had together last month, Yolanda revealed to me how reading through the Book of James changed her life. God's word convicted her and prompted her to make changes in her lifestyle. She is now living a life to please God. Amazing! God's word changes lives!

Joni Eareckson-Tada, a friend of mine, gave me one of her books to give to Yolanda to encourage her (book pictured in photo). Joni has overcome many obstacles in her life including overcoming covid and being a two time cancer survivor in addition to being a successful author, speaker and the founder of Joni & Friends, all through her quadriplegia. Joni has a truly amazing story that encompasses much more than I can share here. It is amazing to see Joni encouraging Yolanda...two women who don't know each other...their connection is through their love of God. He does work all things out to His glory!

Yolanda is now undergoing further chemotherapy and asks for prayer to endure the process. She gives God the glory for her life and is looking to Him for comfort. The book of James, she shared, opened her eyes and helped her understand how to go through life's most difficult situations while trusting in God, knowing that He will never leave her. She is a beautiful, courageous woman who is clinging to God through life's difficult circumstances. Please pray for Yolanda. I praise God for her salvation and her desire to please Him with her life.

Bringing glory to Him in a broken world,

JG
