Maybe you're a Christian and somehow, through your own actions or by no fault of your own, you have found yourself buried under the muck of life: covid, sin, confusion, chaos, fatigue, heartbreak... Christian, it's time change the scenery.
It's time to push up and grow. You're not buried under all of those things; you're planted. Now grow. Reach up. Give it your all and lift yourself out of the muck. It's hard work. But guess what?...You're stronger than you think.
The world around you may not change. The people around you may not change. Your circumstances may not change. But YOU can change.
If you feel like you can't do it on your own, you're probably right. But the good news is...you're not on your own. You're a child of the Most High God. If you could do it on your own, you wouldn't need God. You wouldn't need to put your faith into practice. Courage is being afraid of doing something and doing it anyway. Ask God for courage, then hold onto your faith and push forward.
Push through whatever is holding you down.
Sink or Swim.
Fail or Not. Run and fall or you'll not run at all.
Don't give up.
Don't die in your sadness or frustration.
Your life, your spiritual life depends on it. There is hope. You CAN do this.
Ephesians 4:17-25
"This I say therefore, and affirm together with the Lord, that you walk no longer just as the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind, being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart;
and they, having become callous, have given themselves over to sensuality, for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness.
But you did not learn Christ in this way,
if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus, that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.
Therefore laying aside falsehood, speak truth, each one of you, with his neighbor, for we are members of one another. "
Ephesians 3: 16-21
"...that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man; so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses all knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever, Amen. "
Friends, as we come out of this covid season, life has changed. Politically, big changes are happening. War is breaking out again in the middle east. Depending on what city or state your are in and with whom you live and work, your perspective on what has happened in our world and what our political future holds may vary. One thing is certain; We know who holds us: God Almighty.
Whatever happens in the world we know this: the world needs Christ.
Those who don't know Christ need to be told.
Those who do know Christ need to be strengthened.
Which are you?
The enemy want to push Christians down. The enemy would like to see the Christians discouraged, dysfunctional, buried under fear, regret, burdens...ineffective.
Get up. Get Moving. Get to where you need to be.
You're not buried. You're planted. It's time to grow. Push forward. Grab onto the hand of God and let Him lead you. You have a future and a purpose. Keep going, Christian. You will flourish in the sunshine of His glory.
Read, Pray, Worship & Praise. Lay aside the old self, and by reading the word, praying, worshipping and praising, you are putting on the new self. Be grateful. Keep going.
Please pray for all who read this blog, that they may be encouraged and built up in Christ, empowered and strengthened in their inner man.
